10 Homes for 10 Families

BAT 2015 Identifier

In the next few months, our ten Build-A-Thon families will be working hard on their sweat equity and other aspects of the NOAHH program, while their future homes are being prepared for the 10-day, 10-home blitz build. We'd like to take this opportunity to introduce you to the first six families:

  • Debra Taylor: "I can’t wait to have my own place and call it 'my home.'”
  • Kaonta Minor: "It’s nice to know that I have someone on my side that can dream my same dream... in to the journey of homeownership."
  • Mary Broussard, Michael Lawry, and Annette Gurley: "Now that I have grandchildren, having a home of my own, I can afford them the opportunity to be able to come to grandmom’s house, play in the backyard and sleep over–that would be a dream come true for me."
  • Tedra Hills: "I try my best to teach my kids to follow their dreams, that the sky is the limit and no one can stop you but you."
  • Irma Mendoza: "It has been a very satisfying experience and my family (mom, dad and son) can’t wait to move into our new HOME!"
  • Karen Walter: "...that was the happiest day of my life, to know in just a few months I’ll be owning my own home."
